[J. Reuben Clark]
Bro. Petersen reported on the excommunication of the Dream Mine man; said he showed up with four other men who had been active in the Church; he admitted the statements about the meeting; as Koyle was leaving he called the curses of God on the High Council; they all heard it and it certainly showed the feeling of the men, and those who were a little bit in sympathy with him afterwards definitely said that they were now sure he should have been excommunicated. There was others, some active in the Emerson Ward, and he wanted permission to proceed against them. He thought he would ask Pres. Elbert Curtis to talk with this man and see if the excommunication has changed his attitude. Pres. Clark cautioned they ought to be careful about the insubordination or disloyalty question, because they ought to be permitted to think, you can't throw a man off for thinking.
