Elder M[atthias]. F. Cowley reported that at a meeting in Preston [Idaho] at which Br[other]. Moses Thatcher was present, some of the members of the Church found fault with B[isho]p. William Parkinson because he did not invite Bro[ther]. Thatcher to take a seat on the stand. Bro[ther]. Cowley also stated that in a conversation with Bro[ther]. Thatcher, the latter took the ground that he was still an Apostle, although he was silenced and suspended for the time being from exercising his calling. After some conversation the sense of the meeting was expressed that B[isho]p. Parkinson was perfectly right in not inviting Bro[ther]. Thatcher to the stand in a religious meeting and that he be so informed.
