[John Nuttall]
I found the President [Woodruff] very sick. he was dosing, when he awoke he was flighty. I spoke to him and he grasped me around the neck like he was in a spasm. I got him quiet. I was alone. His wife came in and was much alarmed. He had another attack in 3/4 af an hour and then another about the same time after. The family were much excited. Bro Clawson went for the Doctor. Pres[iden]t Geo[rge] Q. Cannon & Pres[iden]t L[orenzo]. Snow & John Henry Smith came in a hurry and administered to him. he revived. I went home to let my folks know where I was and back again. I staid with the President all night Bro[ther] Asahel Woodruff with me. I bathed the Pres[iden]t with alcohol & oil and he slept very nicely.
