John Bradford delivers a sermon titled 'The Schools of the Prophets: A Sermon , Delivered at New-Brunswick, New-Jersey, Before the Board of Superintendants, of the Theological School of the Reformed Dutch Church':
"He gave some, apostles; and some prophets; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ - This written truth, containing the words of holy men who spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, has been put into our hands, as the will of God for our salvation; and it is our duty to prize it above thousands of gold and silver" and discusses the "use, of these schools of the prophets."
