[David O. McKay]
I met pres. Parley A. Arave of the Blackfoot Stake who wanted to know whether he should take steps to have the woman who is secretary of the Draft Board at Bingham County, Idaho removed from her office. She has assumed authority which is not hers, and sent a letter to one of our missionaries demanding that he come home signing her name as a member of the Board. She is implying and charging that the Mormons are draft evaders. Pres. Arave said they have a petition signed by several hundred persons asking that she be ousted from her position.

I told Pres. Arave to go ahead. I so reported to President Clark who approved it.
