[President Heber J. Grant Diary] Came to the office at 11:30 and had a long talk with Elder Levi Edgar Young regarding the speech that he made over the radio on the Church of the Air program. I told him that I was astonished that he did not testify to the divine mission of the Prophet, he simply said that a Prophet had said, quoting his language, without giving him any credit. He told me that he had been advised by Brother Stephen L. Richards and the committee that the Columbia Broadcasting Company objected to our utilizing the radio broadcasting system to preach our faith, and that we had to be very careful. He testified to me that he had perfect faith in the divine mission of the Prophet, for which I feel very grateful because I felt that he was lacking in faith, and I hope that I was mistaken. The interview was very satisfactory indeed and I so announced to Brother Clark.
