[Apostle Heber J. Grant Diary] [Pages 297-342 have been removed. The last sentence on page 296 reads: "Called at Prest's office where I met Bros Cannon, Smith and others." There follows a note written in pencil on the back of page 296: "Pages 297-342 were minutes of a meeting of the Apostles & were removed at father's request Nov 24 Rachel G. Taylor." The top of page 342 is excised, leaving this conclusion to the entry:] ... One law for all is what I hope and pray for and at the same time I am anxious that in my desires to have the law carried out that I may not forget that charity and mercy is a duty I am owing to my fellows. I sometimes fear that I am lacking in charity. I do pray God for strength to do right and set an example before my children that shall be worthy for them to follow. Someday my lack of charity may come home to me in a painful manner and I shall try from this time to cultivate a more forgiving spirit.
