... Conversation on O[rson]. Hyde'paying debts for bogus venders, & horse thieves

... H[eber]. C. K[imball]. came in' Conversation then took place about Joseph's [i.e., Joseph Smith's] last Sermon on the house top before 7000 of N[auvoo]. Legion besides many others' W[illard] R[ichards] said that the last Sunday, Joseph was jumping with a Stick'& his last jump the Stick broke in two prices & he fell flat on his back'he then got up & went into Court when the trial commenced'

Joseph often said Hyrum [Smith] if ever we go again to Carthage [Illinois] & the mob get hold of us'we are both dead men'

E[zra]. T. B[enson]. It is believed by some there are men in fellowship in this Ch[urch]. who are under condemnation for what they did'

B[righam]. Y[oung]. I know what you mean'but dont believe it'Hyrum believed that Masonry wo[ul]d. save them'but it was masonry that killed them'you will find in the sequel that the Lord has ordered it so'

D[aniel]. H. W[ells]. It was a whirlwind of events that carried him out of the world' W[illard] R[ichards]. Josephs feelings were hurt by Emma [Smith] throwing up in his teeth, that Jos[ep]h. said he wo[ul]d. never leave nor forsake the Saints'...
