[Heber J. Grant]
At 12:15 I attended a dinner party in Temple Square Hotel. ... I told of my experience of the past with the Japanese, that I was there nearly two years, and we baptized three people. The first one was guilty of burglarizing mission headquarters, the second one wanted to be crucified to help the work along, and he later asked to have his name taken from the record, and the third one my successor in office cut him off the Church for lying. That was the grand total of conversions while I was there. They have afterwards converted people who have been faithful members of the Church ever since.
