[Brigham Young Jr.]
I am somewhat surprised at the stand Mrs. Sen[ator]. [Martha Hughes] Cannon has taken and also the women of the legislature. I was remarked by one of my friends that so far womens sufferage seemed to be a failure. I am disgusted that Mrs. C[annon]. voted so persistently for judge [Orlando W.] Powers and wound up her false position by voting for and influencing to cast their in favor [former apostle] Moses Thatcher.
The Lord will over rule in all these things but I fear many of our sisters will prove to as big fools in the political arena as many of the brethren have proved themselves.
