Bidamon notarizes statement that he has sold [for $50] to LDS collector Wilford Wood, Joseph Smith's "sliver piece" inscribed "Confirmo O Deus Potentissimus" and that his step-mother frequently said this medallion belonged to Joseph Smith. Comparison of this artifact with illustrations for Francis Barrett's 1801 "The Magus" verifies that this is Jupiter talisman inscribed according to instructions in Barrett's book.
