Instructions relative to conducting of dances or socials under the auspices of the Church organizations in the stakes and missions of the Church. The instructions were designed to reach at least two main goals: (1) To provide wholesome recreation for the membership of the Church under controlled conditions meeting Church standards. Admission to these Church recreational functions was to be by ticket only, to be issued by Bishops or Branch Presidents. Provisions were made for the issuance of guest tickets by the Bishop to those who "are of high moral character and capable of maintaining Church standards." (2) To provide wholesome recreation for L.D.S. servicemen at the ward or branch nearest their duty station.
