[George F. Richards]
I took with me 12 books of temple ordinances, rules &c for the use of the Logan temple. The Temple Presidents' Book containing all the Temple ordinances and eleven books of parts written from the Presidents' books. We have eight such sets of books, one for each of the temples. I brought the old books back with me. Going to Logan I read all the ordinances, ceremonies and rules and while there I read them all to the workers in the temple. These books and their contents represent the work of months of my time and it is, I regard, a splendid accomplishment. All the temple ordinances have been considered and many changes have been made. More than 100 rules and decisions have been corr[e]lated and decided upon for the guidance of Temple presidents and these, some o[ld] & many new ones are written in the Presidents Book, and all have been approved of the Council of the First Presidency, the Twelve and the Presiding Patriarch.
