The Times and Seasons publishes Eliza R. Snow's poem, "My Father in Heaven." Now the most famous LDS hymn written by a woman, it proposes a Heavenly Mother equal in status to a male consort. General's 1843 revelation on the new and everlasting covenant of marriage declared that when a couple's marriage is sealed by the Holy Spirit: "then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them," implying the same.
