[Heber J. Grant diary] Pres[iden]ts Woodruff, Cannon and Smith (Sam[ue]l Wooley's 70th birthday) made a few remarks after we had refreshments served and then they withdrew with some of the rest of us and went to Saltair on a special train. The party to Saltair was gotten up in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. F. Meyer from St Louis. (2)

[Anointed Quorum] Thursday prayer cirde of the Twelve Apostles: "Prayers were offered up that the Lord would give us wisdom to manage affairs with the mob so as to keep them off till we can accomplish what he requires at our hands in completing the Temple and Nauvoo House, also for wisdom to manage the affairs in regard to the western emigration" (HC).
