[Spencer W. Kimball]
[Shortly after being called to the Twelve] I called on Pres Clark. He was not crowded so much and he talked long and intimately to me mostly regarding my future association with the Church and the brethren and what would be expected of me. There seemed to be no reserve and he seemed to place himself on my equal. He also is a great man as also Pres. McKay. I am electrified with the very presence of these men of power'these Prophets Seers and Revelators. What a privilege to be on intimate terms with such strong leaders.
[Spencer W. Kimball, Diary, as quoted in Minutes of the Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1835-1951, Electronic Edition, 2015]
