A meeting of the First Presidency and Apostles was held this morning.
A letter was read from Mrs. Eliza M. Browning to President A[shael]. H. Woodruff, offering to sell Carthage Jail property for $4,000., Brother Woodruff having offered her $3,000., agreeable to instructions sent to him some time ago, at which time $5,000. was asked for it.
It became the sense of the meeting, on motion of Brother John Henry Smith, to purchase the property for $4,000, seconded by Brother Woodruff and carried.
