[Brigham Young Jr.]
I almost foreced to the conclusion that the Des[eret]. News is treating me with silent contempt. I do not care for Jno. [John] Q. C[annon]. if the presidency does back him. The Lord knows I have acted & spoken with integrity of heart for good, but when I try to do my best I seem to do my worst. One thing I have always practiced, to preach what the spirit gave me when stan[d]ing before the people. Of course I will not preach what the authorities'Presidency'interdict.
