[Heber J. Grant]
[On the death of his wife, Emily] It seems rather strange that I should be attending her funeral on the anniversary of our wedding. I am sure that she would sooner be buried on this day, however, than any other day in the year. From the time we were married, I have never been separated from her on the 27th [of May] ... without writing her a letter, expressing my appreciation of our love, and my gratitude to the Lord for our union. We have practically celebrated our wedding day monthly as well an annually.
