Helen and I attended fast meeting in the Temple. ... At the close of the meeting Helen and I went up stairs to a quiet closet and engaged in prayer for an especial purpose [i.e., the possibility of contracting a new plural marriage]. We each prayed in turn and felt a beautiful influence.
