[John Henry Smith]
The state has gone dry. A few Cities have gone wet.
I was in the office during the forenoon with Prest. A. H. Lund. During the Afternoon all of the members of the Capitol commission and three other parties went in Autos up Little Cottonwood Canyon and examined some of the Granite Mountains to find Materials to build the Capitol. We found some excelent Rock. We left two experienced Rock men to look farther.
