Lieutenant General Brigham Young said he laid hands on the deceased the day he was shot that he felt to pronounce a martyr blessing and the blessing of a Martyr crown, in he has died in the cause of mobocracy, I feel to sympathize with this Father Phippins. He died but he desired to live for the same cause as we do. He shall come forth in the first resurrection. I am for work and preach to live long upon the earth. God bless you, Amen. -- Nauvoo, Illinois
