70 years ago today - Dec 6, 1943

[George F. Richards] By appointment of the First Presidency and the President of the quorum of the Twelve, I interviewed Elder Jos. F. Merrill as to his having distributed certain books, with a request that he discontinue so doing, and received his promise to do so no more, at the same time declaring that he thinks that which he has done in that line was intended for good and would result in good. I made my report to the president of our quorum.
