A letter was read from Jacob D. Whitmer, offering for sale for nine thousand dollars his farm at Far West [Missouri], containing 82 acres. For the eighty acres he wanted six thousand dollars, and two acres of unimproved land, the site of the temple, he wanted $5000. for.
