[President Heber J. Grant Diary] This evening I attended meeting and spoke nearly an hour in the Fourth Ward. I notified Brother Nicholas G. Smith after the afternoon meeting that he was to be sustained this evening as a patriarch for the Salt Lake Stake and that until the Presiding Patriarch is chosen we want him to bless any of the missionaries who desire a patriarchal blessing and people who come in from outside of the Stakes.
