[Joseph Smith] Joseph speaks to the Female Relief Society in the grove. He tells the sisters that they must be more particular in accepting new members and should accept no one unless they present a petition signed by at least two or three other members. Joseph tells the sisters that they need better fellowship, more mercy and compassion, and less self-righteousness (which is a principle of the devil), and that there must be no strife among them.
