William Smith and Marvel C. Davis were re-baptized into the LDS Church. The fact that both were re-admitted at the same time may possibly indicate some connection between their respective alienations from the Mormons. (1)

The six-year legal battle over the Church Plaza, located between the Salt Lake Temple and the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, ended when the deadline passed for the ACLU and its plaintiffs to appeal a decision by the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colo. The appeals court on Oct. 3, 2005, upheld the sale of one block of Main Street to the Church. (2)
