[Wilford Woodruff] Nov 5 I spent the day at the farm in Choreing. The Election was held in Great Salt Lake & Toelle Counties for a Legislative Counsellor. W Woodruff was Elected in the place of Professor O Pratt resigned. (1)

[Apostle Marriner W. Merrill] Sunday. Richmond. Alma, my son, plowing Hobson Twenty for me this past week. Weather fine now. Alma, my son, was set apart as President of Benson Stake today at the Quarterly Conference at Smithfield by Apostles Lyman and Penrose. Brother Lyman stayed with us two nights. (2)
