[Apostle Rudger Clawson]
Hyrum Kay wrote, desiring to know if it were necessary for a brother who moves from one quorum to another to take a recommend of standing. The answer was "no." He should take a recommend of removal to the new ward and should have a certificate of ordination to the priesthood, and that would admit him to his quorum: It was also decided that a certificate of ordination should be issued to the Presidency and apostles and that the apostles and others in the future, when they ordain to the priesthood, should give certificates of ordination.
