[George Q. Cannon]
Abraham informs me that the Deputy Marshals have searched mylog house for me and from there had gone to my adopted daughters, Rose Lambert's house, which is at present unoccupied and searched that also. John Hoagland's house has also been watched. One man having laid down in the brush near his house and the other seemed to be on the watch on the other side of the road from the house. He saw them both in the early morning and having seen the man get out of the brush he went there and found the place where he had made his couch.
