President [Lorenzo] Snow said that whatever this Council unitedly agreed upon he would do, if it was to ask the Presidency. He thinks we are nearer to our going to Jackson county [Missouri] than we are apt to believe. He thinks it is not advisable to ask the Presidency for information or call them to account. Said he believed the privilege of the Twelve'when a Presidency was to be selected'had the right and power to select a First Presidency either in or outside of the Council of the Twelve.
