[Stephen L. Richards]
[Conversation with Joseph Fielding Smith:] Pres. Richards also referred to the proposed talks to be given by Brother Skousen on the Church Radio hour, and said the Presidency had wondered a little as to the subject which he has suggested, and were concerned as to whether the missionary momentum gained by Brother David Yarn in his talks might not be lost if Brother Skousen went into a discussion of world problems, as the title indicated he might. Pres. Smith said Brother Skousen had explained he had in mind discussing the Gospel Plan all down through the ages, showing the apostasy from Christianity; but said he would discuss the matter with Brother Skousen, who he felt would be glad to conform to the wishes of the Brethren.
