[Angus M. Cannon]
I received a call from Sister Agness Olsen Thomas and her mother. The former told me her mother was desirous of having her son Hyrum & and [sic] daughters Angess & [blank] (the latter of whom lived in Price, Em[e]ry County [Utah]) sealed to her before the latter departed upon his mission, early in July. I went with her to see President [Wilford] Woodruff and Councilors,--who said it could not be done until she was herself sealed to some man under the Covenant. The man she desired to be sealed to,--having a wife living she was told it could not be permitted at the present time.
