[Apostle Brigham Young Jr. Diary] Pres[ident] Woodruff has passed away far from home and in the house of one I cannot believe to be an honest man. [Trumbo] God knows best, but I fear that man has bro[ugh]t. this about and He suffered it for a wise purpose in Him. I acknowledge His hand in it, tho[ugh] it has troubled my spirit much. If I deaf not know that God is at the helm I shall be in despair for the financial Condition of the church. But he knows and will bring his people out and through all their difficulties in spite of religious bigots and other enemies of Satan. Bro[ther] Geo[rge] Q. C. has a terrible ordeal to pass through. God help him to gain vigorous health and usefulness in Zion.
