[David O. McKay] Went over to the Temple this morning just long enough to assist President Grant and President Clark in setting apart LeGrand Richards, the new Presiding Bishop of the Church, M.O. Ashton, First Counselor, and Joseph L. Wirthlin, Second Counselor. ... While at the Temple today President Grant, President Clark, President Rudger Clawson and members of the Council of the Twelve unitedly laid their hands on my head, President Grant being voice, and gave me a blessing for my health.
