Last Saturday and Sunday he attended missionary conference at St. Louis [Missouri]. He visited Richmond cemetery, also Liberty, Far West, Haun's Mill and Adam-ondi-Ahman [Missouri]. She also remembers a woman who used to visit the place annually who said she had a son buried there. The place was pointed out by Mrs. McClellan where the well was supposed to have been located. Nothing is left to show where the blacksmith's shop where nineteen of our people were shot, was located. Brother Richards thought it would be a good thing for the Church to secure a portion of that land, covering the blacksmith shop and the well and erect there some kind of mason work on which to erect at some time in the future a monument. He thought this ought to be done before all trace of the historic landmarks vanish. ...
