[Apostle Franklin D. Richards Diary] Council discussed the propriety of John H. Smith accepting the Election to Directory & Presidency of the Standard publishing Company Ogden All present expressed their views. Some lengthily & it was unanimous view that it would be impolitic for him to do so.
