[At priesthood meeting:] Pres[ident]. [Wilford] Woodruff spoke of the financial condition of the Church, and tried to explain the causes of the trouble. I say tried, because many of their speculations were not explained. Asked all those that had money to spare to loan it to the Trustee in Trust to assist the Church.
