Priesthood meeting, 7 Oct., "Bro[ther] Jos[eph] F. S. said one of the Twelve & one of Presidency of Seventies were not doing their duty in the church [engaging in politics without approval] and they should make right what was wrong. We all seconded his remarks tho' some thought them premature I did not think so for the brethren have neglected their ecclesiastical duties for years."
