[Francis M. Lyman]
At 8:30 P.M. a Republican meeting was held in the Social Hall. Ex Gov[ernor] Arthur L. Thomas spent an hour and 55 minutes very interestingly upon the virtues of Republicanism and the absurdities of Democracy. The hall was crowded with attentive listeners. His effort was quite a success.
