The 'seige' in Washington [D.C.] continues with my father [i.e., Joseph F. Smith] on the stand [Smoot Hearings]. He has been forced to answer all kinds of questions with have been asked by moral lepers who are unworthy to unloose his shoes, and some of these vile creatures are, too, members of the Committee of privileges and elections.
