...Six of President [Wilford] Woodruff’s sons, two of his grandsons and three of his sons-in-law, were also present at this meeting. It was agreed to hold the funeral services of the deceased President on Thursday next, September 8th, at 10;30 A.M., in the Tabernacle, and a committee consisting of Brigham Young [Jr.], Heber J. Grant and A[braham]. O. Woodruff, was appointed, to make arrangements for the obsequies. Wilford Woodruff, Jun[ior]. then repeated the request, made last Saturday, that the remains of his father be buried beside those of his mother, Phebe Woodruff. This matter was referred to Bro[ther]. John Jaques, the custodian of Pres[ident]. Woodruff’s private papers, and through him it was learned that the late President had left instructions as to the exact place of his burial. This information satisfied President Woodruff’s sons, who were not aware before that their father had left any such instructions.
