[Minutes, Quorum of Twelve] President [Wilford] Woodruff also recommended that children be sealed to parents, and then to have these parents sealed to the Prophet Joseph [Smith]. He did not feel that it was quite right and proper to have children disregard their parents who gave them birth and be sealed to men who perhaps held some high position in the Church. He had been sealed to his father and his father in turn had been sealed to the Prophet, and he felt that this course was entirely proper. All the brethren present approved of this idea.
