[Apostle Wilford Woodruff Journal] Dec 10 We met in Joint Session in the lower room at 2 oclok Govornor Stephen S. Harding delivered his Message the most insulting document ever delivered to this assembly or any Legislative Body. It was received in silence. Col Cornor was introduced to the assembly after the Govornor left. The Joint assembly was dissolved & we met in our separate rooms.
There was considerable excitement in the Street in the Evening about the Govornors Message. Council adjourned to Meet on Friday at 1 oclok.
