[I]n regard to the inmates of the Idaho insane asylum, members of the Church [there] wearing the temple garment, * we will express ourselves on this subject at the next general priesthood meeting, and in the meantime would thank you as chairman of the board of directors of the Idaho insane asylum to do what you can consistently by way of correcting this practice. Should any of the inmates however feel hurt in his or her feelings at being deprived of wearing the garment, we suggest that no change be made in his or her case, and that this be an exception. [Joseph F. Smith, Anthon H. Lund, and Charles W. Penrose to George H. Fisher, July 19, 1917]
