[Relief Society] Minutes of the

Thirteenth Meeting of the

Society.

Grove July 7th. <1842>

Meeting opened by singing "When I survey the wondrous cross" &c.

Pray'r by sister [Sophia] Packard.

Mrs. President not present, the business of the Society was defer'd, and the time spent in exhortation and speaking, singing and prayer, much to the comfort and edification of those present.

The following Donations were made to wit.

Mary Akerly .. 50

Catharine [Curtis] Spencer .. 20

Sophia Packard appropriated 20 lbs. flour

to Mrs. Birch

Mrs. Duel appropriated 27 do

to Mrs. Birch

Mrs. Winchester appropriated 25 do

for Mrs. Hawkes.

Prayer for the children earnestly recommended by Councillors [Sarah Kingsley] Cleveland, [Elizabeth Ann Smith] Whitney and others.

Meeting adjourn'd to next week.
