At ten attended special Priesthood meeting in the Assembly Hall. President Smith referred to the fact that there were men still preaching that plural marriages could be solemnized. He branded this kind of teaching simply infamous, and said that the statement was absolutely false; that it puts the authorities of the Church in a false light before the world. He suggested to the bishops that they let Brother Cowley alone and not call on him to preach when he happens to visit their wards.
