[Charles Lowell Walker]
Br Brigham Said that the First Presidency and the Twelve had stood in the way of the People entering the United Order. Said that E[rastus] Snow had said that the Factory at Washington had been a curse to the People, and such men were a curse to the community. (Br Snow spoke up saying he thought it a blessing now.) Br Brigham whipped and scolded the tradesmen and almost every body and every thing. I could not hear all he said toward to the close of his remarks as the wind arose to a fearful tempest, the dust and sand flying in clouds blowing the top of Christopher Layton's carriage off and beginning to rain. -- St. George, Utah
