[Apostle Heber J. Grant]
[Meeting of the Apostles in the temple] GEORGE TEASDALE rejoiced very much in meeting with his brethren. He endorsed the remarks of Prest. Snow that what was said here would be held sacred by all of us. His heart had been filled with sympathy to overflowing for those wives and children who had been deprived becasue of the law against plural marriage of husbands and fathers and he felt that this Nation would have to suffer the vengeance of the Lord for he felt that the separations that had been caused were simply damnable. He regretted the manner in which some of the brethren had treated their families. He felt that all that we can possibly do to make our families contented should be done. ...

[Apostle] John Henry Smith . . . Referring to the schemes which the First Presidency put on foot from time to time, he had felt that they should get the approval of at least seven of the Apostles before making any more of importance . . .
