Last night worked or less the line I might take in talking with Jimmy Speyer today. I see no advantage in being tender with him. I can imagine no better advertisement'favorable'than his complaint that we refused to ask Brazil to revamp this plan in the interest of one Jew issue house, to the detriment of the great bulk of American bondholders ... I returned to get ready to take on the Jew.
